Towards a PCHR Vision

Program Objectives

- Training:  Provide research training in an integrated community partnership approach that links research to policy and practice.

- Transdisciplinary Advancement:  Contribute to the development of the field of community partnership research and knowledge translation/exchange.

- Produce Development:  Develop and disseminate reports and articles, conceptual models, research and learning methods, and toolkits.

PCHR Goals Include:

- Collaborative, community-based learning environments, and dynamic, problem-based teamwork.

- Innovative, high-impact research in emerging research fields and effective knowledge exchange, both through learner development and increased capacity throughout our partner organizations.

- Efficient and seamless solutions to immediate and long-term problems in the health sector through strategic action research.

- Sustainable, well-resourced partnerships with community organizations.

- Effective integration of research as a core strategy driving and guiding transformative reform and redesign program and policy decisions within a culture of organizational learning.

- Tightly-linked network of researchers and decision makers throughout British Columbia.
